Animal Eye Care of Richmond, and Dr Blair are exceptional! I took Taz, my Shih Tzu to them for removal of an oil gland tumor on his eyelid. During the consultation visit, Dr Blair was very personable, professional, and kind. He explained what the tumor was, the process for removing it, and the recovery time. The front desk staff was also very polite and professional. They booked his procedure appointment after his consultation, which was incredibly and thankfully quick. They also provided, in-house, the prescribed antibiotic and steroid ointment I needed to use for Taz prior to his procedure, which was very convenient. On May 20, 2026, the day of his procedure, I met Laura, Dr Blair's attending Technician. She explained everything all over again and ensured I did not have any questions. She was very gentle with Taz and reassured me he would be well taken care of, and he absolutely was. Taz is doing exceptionally well because of the professionalism, skill, and care Dr Blair and Laura showed him. Animal Eye Care of Richmond is 1.5 hours from my house and absolutely worth the commute! If your pet has eye care needs, look them up.
